Al Wahda signs Portuguese player Fabio Martins

 Al Wahda Club announced today, Saturday, the signing of Portuguese winger Fabio Martins for two seasons.

Al-Wahda said on his Twitter account: "Al-Wahda Football Club has contracted with Portuguese professional Fabio Martins for two seasons."

The club added: "The club's management wishes the player success and that he meets the goals and aspirations of the leadership, management and fans of Al Wahda Club."

Martins, 28, went on loan last season in Saudi youth from Braga, Portugal.

Martins, born in Brazil, has been playing in Braga since 2015, but he went on loan in the 2019-2020 season at Famalicao, before returning to his club after the end of his loan to youth last season.

Al-Wahda drew 0-0 with its guest Shabab Al-Ahly in the fifth round of the ADNOC Professional League last Thursday.

Al Wahda team occupies seventh place with seven points from five matches in the competition, which is led by Al Ain with 13 points.
