"We should applaud no", launches a papet while the coffin where rests René Malleville is about to enter the Saint-Miter church, in the 13th arrondissement of Marseille.

But nobody had, at this hour, the heart for that.

In silence, the crowd rushed into the small church.

Not everyone was able to return.

Nearly 200 people, relatives, officials and anonymous came to pay a last tribute to "Uncle René", who died last Sunday.

Man has known 1,000 lives.

A supporter, of course, but also a trade unionist and TV columnist, René Malleville was an entire personality, as Marseille likes them.

He was buried with a replica of the Champions League, won by OM in 1993.
