Rodriguez appeared in a press conference to talk about his new experience after contracting with Al Rayyan for 3 years, and confirmed that he came to the club, nicknamed "The Terrible" locally, to win titles and championships, as he used to with the clubs he played for before and with his country's Colombian national team.

He said, "I am very happy to join Al Rayyan, and I thank everyone who contributed to the completion of the deal because I am looking forward to playing again after a long period of not participating and playing matches."

He added, "I am proud to join a prestigious club that has a large fan base the size of Al Rayyan and under the leadership of a great coach like Frenchman Laurent Blanc, who has great experience as a player and coach."

He continued, "It is true that I played for great clubs in my career, but Al Rayyan is also a great team and has a wide fan base here in Qatar and has a great history as well. When the Colombian star was asked about the date of his participation with Al Rayyan, he said, "I will participate in the matches when I am 100% ready, and according to the coach's opinion, for sure."
