Tottenham beat Wolverhampton on penalty shootouts in the Carabao Cup in England and advanced to the round of 16.

Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-min and Wolverhampton's Hwang Hee-chan played their first 'Korean Premier League match' on the ground in the second half, but neither of them scored points.

Tottenham Hotspur advanced to the round of 16 by winning 3-2 on penalties in a penalty shoot-out without extra time after a 90-minute tie between Wolverhampton and Wolverhampton in the League Cup round of 32 away at Molyneux Stadium in Wolverhampton, England.

Hwang Hee-chan started his first appearance in a Wolverhampton jersey.

This is his third consecutive official match following the regular league match against Watford and Brentford, where he appeared as a substitute.

Heung-min Son, who suffered a calf injury earlier than expected and played full-time in the regular league match against Chelsea on the 20th, started the game on the bench.

Tottenham, who took the lead in the attack, took the lead by scoring two early goals.

In the 14th minute of the first half, Tangi Ndombele broke through three Wolverhampton defenders from midfield to the left of the goal area and scored the opening goal with a right-footed shot.

In the 23rd minute of the first half, 'goalkeeper' Harry Kane scored his first goal of the season, giving Tottenham one more point.

After receiving a penetration pass from Deli Ali, Kane exquisitely broke the defensive line to create a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper and then landed a right-footed ground ball into the left corner of the post.

Wolverhampton scored a goal from a set piece straight away.

In the 38th minute of the first half, Leander Dendonker put his head on a corner kick from the left by Rajan Aitnuri and shook the net.

Hwang Hee-chan took the equalizer opportunity one after another before and after halftime.

In the 45th minute of the first half, Max Kilman finished a cross from the left with a header that changed direction only by Hwang Hee-chan, which went over the goal.

In the 2nd minute of the second half, Hwang Hee-chan tried to finish with a non-stop shot from the ground cross handed over by Kyana Hoeber from the right, but two Tottenham defenders hurriedly tackled it and could not shoot accurately.

At the start of the second half, Wolverhampton increased the vigor of the attack by putting in strong flank striker Adama Traore.

Tottenham Hotspur were aiming for an additional goal thanks to the heavy play of Kane and Ndombele.

Hwang Hee-chan, who was wriggling, eventually served as the starting point for the equalizer goal.

In the 13th minute of the second half, Hwang Hee-chan fought hard and Ndombele missed the ball.

Dendonker made a nonstop pass forward, and Daniel Podense caught it and shot it with his right foot to make it 2-2.

When the game returned to the starting point, Tottenham entered the 16th minute of the second half and Son Heung-min entered the 'Korean Premier League match'.

As Heung-Min Son swung the left flank, the flow of the game twisted again towards Tottenham, but no goals were scored.

In the 22nd minute of the second half, Son Heung-min swallowed a disappointment when Kane ran a header from the left and connected it to Wolverhampton goalkeeper John Ruddy's fingertips.

Wolverhampton regretted that Hubin Neves' shot hit the crossbar in the 43rd minute of the second half.

In the end, the winner of the ticket to the round of 16 was decided in a penalty shootout held immediately after the 90-minute match.

Hwang Hee-chan became the first kicker of Wolverhampton who took the lead, and spread it to the lower left corner to make it a success.

Tottenham goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini read the direction and threw a shot, but the shot hit his arm and headed towards the goal.

However, Wolverhampton 3rd kicker Neves, 4th kicker Dendonker and 5th kicker Conor Cody missed one after another, and Tottenham finally laughed.
