In France there was another riot on the sidelines of a Ligue 1 football game. Olympique Marseille supporters and Angers SCO attacked each other after the 0-0 draw on Wednesday evening and entered the field minutes after the final whistle. This was reported by the newspaper "Ouest-France", among others. People from the Marseille block had therefore stormed to another area on the same side of the square along the grandstand and had messed with fans of the home team. Videos and photos showed people hitting each other and objects flying through the air.

The media reported that the stadium announcer tried to stop the escalation with an announcement.

"Please please.

What picture do we give?

Please people, calm down, "it said over the loudspeakers.

Only after some time did the stewards get the situation under control, according to the information.

Similar incidents and situations had recently increased in France's stadiums.

Hours before the game in Angers there were 16 injured in Montpellier when around 50 fans of the home team HSC Montpellier attacked a bus from the port city before the game against Girondins Bordeaux.

Last weekend, fans stormed the field at halftime at the Nordderby Lens against Lille.

It was thrown with stadium seats and several people were injured.

At the end of August there was a similar scenario in the game between Nice and Marseille, where after provocations fans stormed onto the pitch and supporters, officials and players were violent.
