The teams of Cameroon, Mali, Senegal and Nigeria qualified directly for the quarter-finals of the African Nations Women's Basketball Championship (Afrobasket dames), this September 20, 2021 in Yaoundé.
The Ivorians, beaten 76-63 by the Malians, will challenge the Guineans in the qualifying round on September 22.

This September 20 in Yaoundé, the favorite teams of the tournament, Cameroon (group A), Nigeria (group B), Senegal (group C) and Mali (group D), in fact qualified directly for the quarterfinals. final of this women's Afrobasket scheduled for September 23.
Before these quarter-finals, a qualifying round will oppose the teams that finished second in their group against the selections that finished third on September 22.
A Côte d'Ivoire-Guinea in the qualifying round
This will be the case in particular for Côte d'Ivoire, 2nd in group D, which will play against Guinea, last in group C. The Ivorians lost 76-63 against the Malians, this September 20, despite the 24 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks from Laetitia Sahie.

The other posters for this qualifying round will be Kenya - Mozambique, Angola - Cape Verde and Egypt - Tunisia.
The Cape Verdeans were dominated by the Cameroonians 71-40.

Finally, the Angolans suffered the law of the Nigerians, double title holders, 85-65.
