The 27-year-old striker, Inaki Williams, wrote his name in the annals of Spanish football history after his participation, on Saturday, in the 200th match in a row with Athletic Bilbao.

During a confrontation with Atletico Madrid, Williams celebrated his historic achievement, and played the 200th match in a row in the league, where he was present in all matches, whether as a starter or as a substitute.

Williams' historical series began in April 2016, when he faced Malaga, and since then the player has not missed any match due to injury or punishment.

The Athletic Bilbao striker is only two games away from the record set by former Real Sociedad player Juan Antonio Laranaga, who played 202 games in a row.

Williams played one game with the Spanish national team, and scored 69 goals in 301 matches with Athletic Bilbao, the only club that carried his colors until today.
