During the weekend, both the national dressage and the individual series will be decided in Aachen, Germany.

In the national dressage, Sweden is in shared sixth place after Friday's Grand Prix.

In the individual competition, Patrik Kittel took home third place together with eleven-year-old mare Fiontini, which Kittel took over earlier this year.

- I am very happy with, above all, the horse that I have not had for a very long time.

It is a fantastically nice horse, which has an incredibly good attitude to work, says Patrik Kittel after the competition.

- We had a small miss in the twos that cost maybe a second or even a first place.

"Really great"

Despite this, the 45-year-old was pleased with the effort.

- Third place here in Aachen, it is still the world elite.

It's really great, he says to SVT Sport.

The Swedish team also rode Malin Wahlkamp Nilsson (Amplemento), Jacob Nörby Sörensen (Sheeran) and Antonia Ramel (Curiosity).

The competitions continue on Saturday with the Grand Prix Special before the weekend's team competition ends with the freestyle on Sunday.

The individual competition ends with the Grand Prix Kür on Saturday night.
