The vaccination of the players in the North American professional hockey league NHL is going as planned.

"Our latest information indicates that ten or fewer players will not be fully vaccinated on the opening day of the regular season," Bill Daly, who is responsible for negotiations with the players' union, told nhl.com.

According to him, there has been some reluctance to get vaccinated in some players, but that it has diminished over time.

- Hopefully at some point during the season we will be 100 percent fully vaccinated, he says.

A few days ago, the NHL team Columbus announced that assistant coach Sylvain Lefebvre has been fired by the club after refusing a vaccine against covid-19.
