Sam Lammers helped Eintracht Frankfurt to a point against Fenerbahçe in the Europa League on Thursday.

With his first goal for his new club, the striker signed for the 1-1 final score.

Trainers Peter Bosz (Olympique Lyon) and John van den Brom (KRC Genk) started with a victory.

Lammers, who is rented out to Frankfurt by Atalanta, scored on the stroke of half-time on a pass from former Groningen player Filip Kostic.

The former PSV player tied the score after Mesut Özil had opened the score in the tenth minute.

After the break, Lammers, who made his debut in the Bundesliga last weekend, even seemed to crown himself the match winner after the break.

However, his goal was disallowed because teammate Daichi Kamada was offside.

In injury time, the VAR stopped a goal from Fenerbahçe, where Ferdi Kadioglu was in the starting line.

An own goal by James Tavernier meant the early decision after an hour.

Van den Brom also immediately took his first victory in group H with Genk.

Due to a goal by Paul Onuachu in injury time, the Belgians triumphed 0-1 at Rapid Wien.

Carel Eiting was in the starting line-up at Genk.

FC Midtjylland-Ludogorets finished in group G in 1-1.
