Dani Holmqvist is the best Swede after the first round of the LPGA competition in West Linn in American Oregon.

Holmqvist went around on par, 72 strokes, on the hilly course, after two birdies and two boogeys.

In a split 27th place, she is thus four strokes behind a leading trio consisting of Thai Panjaree Anannarukarn, Scottish Gemma Dryburgh and Spanish Carlota Ciganda.

Linnea Ström went around on 73 strokes and Louise Ridderström on 74 strokes, and two more strokes were required for Pernilla Lindberg.
