After having announced it for several months, the leaders of Olympic Biarritz went on the offensive.

As revealed by RMC, the Basque club has decided to relocate its two European matches of the season to the Villeneuve-d'Ascq Stadium, i.e. 1,000 kilometers from the Basque coast.

The Biarritz club, which is playing the European Challenge this season, will challenge the English in Newcastle in mid-January and then RC Toulon in April in the northern enclosure.

explained last March, Jean-Baptiste Aldigé, the president of the Biarritz club, did not appreciate that the municipality of Biarritz renounced the project to extend the Aguilera stadium last February.

Since then, he has threatened to go play in Lille.

On August 20, a preparatory match against UBB had already taken place at the Stadium.

A new milestone has therefore been reached with these two European matches planned in the North which could even announce a move of the Basque club in the North from next season.
