A “verbal exchange” causes the Zamalek star to be offered for sale

The Egyptian club, Zamalek, decided to offer its Tunisian defender Hamdi El-Naqaz for sale or loan, less than 72 hours after contracting him for three seasons.

This step came, according to what sources confirmed to "Emirates Today", because Al-Naqaz's wife had verbally exchanged words with the wife of her compatriot Hamza Al-Mathlouthi, after Zamalek announced the contract with the Tunisian player.

Former Zamalek player Ahmed Hossam Mido said that Zamalek did not intend for Al-Naqaz to remain in the team, given that French coach Carteron was more convinced of Mathlouthi, and that the trend since the beginning of his contract is that Hamdi Al-Naqaz is offered for sale or loan.

Mido added: "The contract with the Tunisian defender was made to avoid the Zamalek club paying 1,350,000 dues approved by the International Football Association (FIFA) to the player after terminating his contract in the 2018/2019 season, and that this amount was obligatory for Zamalek to pay it before the end of this month.

He added: “If Al-Naqaz refuses to be loaned or sold to another club, Zamalek will be put on the waiting list, provided that his dues are paid in installments according to the terms of the contract between them, but most likely the player will agree to the loan after he requested more than one local club to obtain his services.”
