Of the 25 players who have been selected in Peter Gerhardsson's squad, 22 of them were already on the Olympic trip this summer.

One of those who saw the Olympic successes on TV was Elin Rubensson who struggled to get back after maternity leave.

- It has been up and down.

It has gone very fast and it has gone well but has also been very tiring, says Elin Rusensson and continues.

- I have put in a lot of extra training, a lot of time and energy to come back and get this little extra back, so it is clear that it has been hard both mentally and physically.

"Saw this in front of me"

- I received great support with what I needed.

The club has helped with the extra help I have needed both mentally and with the training, but then I also think that a lot has to do with my decision as well.

I decided quite early on that I wanted to take back my place both in the Allsvenskan and in the national team.

So I saw this in front of me.

New position after the comeback

Rubensson, who previously played as a central midfielder, has started the season with Häcken as fullback, and it is also in that role that she has been selected for the national team squad.

- This year has been the focus on coming back and so I got the chance to play fullback at home and it has suited me quite well, so it was natural that I was selected in that role here (in the national team) as well, says Rubensson who on the other hand wants to get back to midfield again.

- In the future, I want to be up in midfield again, but right now it suits me to be on the outer hill.
