Egyptian Al-Ahly player Marwan Mohsen is looking to respond to the decision to dispense with his services by Al-Ahly Club, by playing in the Pyramids team, accompanied by the departing Al-Ahly stars, led by Abdullah Al-Saeed, Ramadan Sobhi, Ahmed Fathi, and Shoaif Ekramy, as sources confirmed the player’s desire to go to the team. He offered himself to the club in order to join it.

The Egyptian Al-Ahly club decided to dispense with the services of its international striker, Marwan Mohsen, as the club thanked the player during the current summer transfer period, after the decision of team coach Pitso Mosimane, who requested his departure from the club, and indeed the player who began looking for a big club to join him was notified. The player's desire to play in the Pyramids Club is directed to provoke the Al-Ahly club's fans, given the previous differences between the two clubs over the level of contracts with the players.

And the Egyptian “Al-Ahly Online” website, quoting a source close to the player, stated that the latter communicated through his agent with the officials of the Pyramids Club, to move to the team’s ranks starting from the new season, despite the player receiving offers from the Arab Contractors, Farco, and Future FC clubs, but he refuses. These offers, and indeed the player held a meeting with the officials of the Pyramids Club.

The source added that Pyramids Club has a reservation about the player.
