So the expert thinks

- It feels very open.

There are six good teams left before the playoffs.

But somehow it feels like the Swedish Championship gold will end up in Småland.

I believe in a final between Smederna and Västervik.

Västervik has surprised a little this season, and has perhaps the best form of drivers right now, and can take the gold.

The Blacksmiths dominated in the basic series, but I do not know if the form will hold up in the playoffs.

But at the same time, it is difficult to remove Smederna when it comes to playoffs, as they can always tag along.

Both Smederna and Västervik do get that gap between the regular season and the semifinals that can be negative, but they are still two very good teams, says SVT expert Erik Stenlund to SVT Sport.

Stenlund's challenger also comes from Småland.

- The Ducks were favorites for the season, but have underperformed.

But maybe the shape settles when it contracts.

It is Micke Teurnberg's job to get the team together.

The ducks have a really strong tip, but there are question marks for Maciej Janowski, among others, who is very tame right now.

Other teams can not threaten.

The lions are good at home, but too thin.

I'm a little unsure of Vetlanda, when they can not match their best drivers.

Rospiggarna has admittedly shown good form at the end, but is not a team that reaches the final, says Erik Stenlund.

The last five champion teams

2020: The Masars (defeated the Indians in the final)

2017: Smederna (defeated Vetlanda in the final)

Play-off snacks

- Will the Blacksmiths take their fourth Swedish Championship gold in five seasons?

The team that disappeared in 2020 due to the pandemic is back with a message.

Won the regular season and is chasing a new title.

- The Ducks have been in three finals the last five years.

Will the late new acquisition Tai Woffinden be the piece of the puzzle needed for Målilla team's first Swedish Championship gold since 2007?

- Västervik's team leader Morgan Andersson probably held his breath when the team's World Cup star Fredrik Lindgren crashed in Vojens.

Lindgren got up and can be Andersson's trump card in the playoffs.

- The Polish clubs do not release their drivers to Sweden.

In Vetlanda, Bartosz Zmarzlik and Dominik Kubera are not available in the first quarter final and in the Lions there is a big question mark for experienced Jaroslaw Hampel's participation.

- Rospiggarna's Daniel Henderson misses the playoffs.

Henderson has had a successful operation after his recent severe crash.

He is replaced by former youth world champion Anders Mellgren.

The biggest stars of the playoffs

- Artem Laguta, Västervik.

World Cup leader and the fastest driver in the speedway world right now.

- Tai Woffinden, Dackarna.

Three-time world champion who drove home two golds with Vetlanda.

- Bartosz Zmarzlik, Vetlanda.

Two straight World Cup golds.

An artist.

If he comes to the start.

- Fredrik Lindgren, Västervik.

Sweden's biggest star.

Experienced scoring machine.

Was a strong contributor to Dackarnas gold in 2007 after a decisive final effort - against Västervik.
