Two of the best players of the Orange Women will face each other in the Champions League.

Lieke Martens' FC Barcelona was placed at Vivianne Miedema's Arsenal in the draw in Group C on Monday.

The German Hoffenheim and the Danish HB Køge also play in group C. There are no Dutch clubs participating in the group stage;

FC Twente lost in the preliminary round to Benfica last week and PSV was previously eliminated by Arsenal.

Barcelona are defending champions of the tournament.

The Spanish club won the most important club prize last season for the first time in the women.

With Martens as one of the stars, Chelsea was beaten 4-0 in the final.

Miedema guided Arsenal last week with a clean hat trick past Slavia Prague.

The striker made her 100th goal for the English club.

She only needed 110 duels for that.
