A strong storm threatens to leave Zamalek players for free

Al-Emarat Al-Youm learned that the management of the Egyptian club Zamalek is racing against time to quickly resolve the financial crisis that the club has faced in the past few hours, and it almost afflicted the first football team in particular.

Zamalek was denied the list of its players in the Egyptian Football Association, against the background of financial debts estimated at 45 million pounds, which the White Castle had to pay from last season.

Zamalek officials are trying to reach a formula of understanding with the Football Association regarding the payment of 10 million pounds to temporarily resolve the registration crisis, with the rest of the amount being paid in installments over the course of the current season.

And Zamalek will be threatened with losing its starting lineup, if the Football Association does not agree to this proposal, as all its players registered from last season will leave the club for free, and play for other clubs.

Negotiations by the club's management with a number of first-team players regarding extending their contracts next season have stopped until the financial crisis is resolved.

Zamalek plans to extend the contracts of eight of its players, who are entitled to sign for any other club in January of next year.
