Veteran boxer Evander Holyfield could not hold out for more than two minutes in front of Victor Belfort, in the fight that brought them together yesterday, Saturday, and took place in the presence of former US President Donald Trump, who participated in the commentary.

Holyfield, the former world boxing champion, was humiliated by a technical knockout in the first round, against Belfort, the former wrestler in mixed martial arts.

In the fight that took place in Florida, the Brazilian did not leave his opponent any chance, and took the initiative to attack Holyfield from the first seconds of the match.

After Holyfield barely managed to stand on his feet after the Belfort attacks (44 years), the American boxer found himself on the rug after a new series of blows from his opponent, and although he managed to stand before the referee finished the count, he was attacked again without being able to Deal a single blow to the opponent.

The referee stopped the confrontation after one minute and 49 seconds, a decision that upset Holyfield, and said, "I was not hurt, I think it was a bad choice."

Holyfield, 58, won the gold medal at the 1984 Olympics in the light heavyweight category, before controlling the light heavyweight category in which he was the world champion, and entering the heavyweight category.

The American boxer agreed to confront his Brazilian opponent only 8 days ago, after the withdrawal of Mexican Oscar de la Hoya, who was confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus.

Donald Trump's support was not enough for Holyfield, and the former US president said, "He wasn't the boxer we know. He lost a lot from the start, and it wasn't Evander Holyfield."

Trump, a big boxing fan, was well received by the fans who chanted his name, and commented after the confrontation, saying, "It's like an election, it can be rigged too," referring to questionable results in previous boxing fights.

Trump, the 75-year-old former real estate mogul, hosted several boxing matches at his resorts in the 1980s and 1990s.
