There was a final replay in the premiere when Brynäs and Luleå collided, with a Brynäs that connected a game-wise grip on the match.

Instead of a home lead, however, Pernilla Forsgren stepped forward and put 1-0 for the guests in powerplay - and immediately came the next hit.

Josefine Persson stayed in front of the box and when Brynäs completely missed the mark, she was able to control 2-0 in the net.

A psychologically important 1-2 goal was scored by Jaycee Gebhard before the first period was over, but it did little to help Brynäs.

"Just to drive"

Rather than equalization came a brilliant performance by Petra Nieminen, when she floated forward and put 3-1 for Luleå at the beginning of the second.

Just Nieminen then dotted the goal frame in a 2-on-1 situation and Noemi Ryhner was able to shave in 4-1 - again after weak defensive play.

In powerplay, Nieminen was also behind 5-1 when Ronja Savolainen rounded off the attack and the five was a fact for a jubilant Luleå.

- It's always fun with underdogs.

Sometimes it's nice to not have so much pressure.

Then you can just drive and we do, Savolainen tells SVT.

Two reductions

Brynäs got some contact in the beginning of the third period when the great talent Joseifne Bouveng flicked away a wrist shot to 2-5.

The match turned, the home team increased the pressure and pace, and with just over six minutes left, Hanna Thuvik put 3-5.

It was just dramatic and Brynäs played 6-on-4 in the final stages of the match - but Luleå held off and took a heavy premiere victory.

- We have a very exciting squad and show today that teamwork takes precedence over individual players, says big-playing goalkeeper Sara Grahn to SVT.
