South American teams standings in World Cup qualifiers

The Brazilian national team continued to achieve the full mark in the South American qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and beat its guest, Peru, 2-0 Thursday at the “Arena Pernambuco” stadium in Recife.


The Brazilian team has won all eight matches it has played so far in the qualifiers, raising its score to 24 points in the lead.


Neymar raised his score with the Brazilian national team to 69 goals, on the same day that Argentine star Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick, which led the team to beat his Bolivian counterpart 3-0. Messi broke the number of Brazilian legend Pele and topped the list of top scorers for the Federation South American Football Association (CONMEBOL) with 79 goals.
