SHL

League start:

11 September

This is how the premiere is played:

Växjö-Färjestad, Oskarshamn-Timrå, Frölunda-Brynäs, Luleå-Linköping, Leksand-Malmö, Örebro-Rögle, Djurgården-Skellefteå.

Reigning champion:

Växjö Lakers (defeated Rögle in the final with 4-1 in matches)

Newcomers:

Timrå IK (beat Björklöven in the Allsvenskan final)

Series layout:

52 rounds.

The first six teams directly to the playoffs.

Teams 7-10 to play-in.

Teams 11-12 have finished playing.

Teams 13-14 to play-out.

Three interesting signings in the league:

Carl Söderberg, to Malmö from Colorado Avalanche

Ryan Lasch, to Frölunda from Zurich

Linus Omark, to Luleå from Geneva

This is how the gold talk goes:

- Luleå has a strong system with Thomas "Bulan" Berglund as coach.

He allows nothing but a rock-hard job.

And if you spice it up with Linus Omark, who I see as the top five of all players in Europe, then you have great conditions.

They also have a really strong pair of goalkeepers in Jesper Wallstedt and Joel Lassinantti, says SVT commentator Dusan Umicevic.

Two teams are mainly mentioned as challengers.

- Färjestad and Frölunda become dangerous.

And you can never count out Växjö or Rögle either.

But the clearest challenger for me is Färjestad who has recruited very strongly, says Dusan Umicevic.

Cheers when Växjö Lakers secured the Swedish Championship gold this spring.

Reigning champions:

Luleå Hockey / MSSK (defeated Brynäs 3-0 in matches in the final)

Newcomers:

No new law.

Series layout:

36 rounds.

The first eight teams to the playoffs.

Teams 9 and 10 have finished playing.

Three interesting recruitments:

Michelle Löwenhielm, to SDE from HV71

Sofia Reideborn, to Gothenburg from SDE

Sydney Brodt, to Linköping from Minnesota

This is how the gold talk goes:

- My tip is Brynäs.

They have had to keep their big important body, they have not replaced so many players.

They have lost some players, but with those who remain, my tip is that Brynäs will end up number one after this season, says SVT's expert Maria Rooth.

She bases it on the team's strong offensive.

- They have the series' absolute best attack.

Extremely good top lines with players like Katerina Mrazova, Denisa Krizova and Josefin Bouveng.

They have an incredible number of names which means that the team will score many goals.

Their attack will make them reach the top, says Maria Rooth to SVT Sport

This is how the premiere will be played:

Sirius-Djurgården, Kalmarsund-Thorengruppen, Falun-Helsingborg, Jönköping-Pixbo, Hagunda-Linköping, Växjö-Mullsjö, Dalen-Storvreta.

Reigning champions:

Falun (defeated Storvreta in the final 5-3)

Newcomers:

Hagunda and Djurgården

Series layout:

26 rounds.

The first eight teams to the playoffs.

Teams 9-12 have finished playing.

Teams 13 and 14 are relegated to the Allsvenskan.

Three interesting signings in the league:

Andreas Stefansson, to Storvreta, from Pixbo

Emil Nilsen, to Falun from Jönköping

Daniel Johnsson, to Helsingborg from Zürich

This is how the gold talk goes:

- It feels like Falun are pretty big favorites.

They have a good foundation to stand on before the season and should be big favorites.

Then they are followed by some teams that can challenge in Storvreta and Kalmarsund, with Helsingborg as outsider.

But Falun will be in the Swedish Championship final with the squad they have, and then the others will have to fight for the second place.

Helsingborg has made major investments in the past that have not gone home, but this time it feels more solid and substantiated.

If they get hit, it can be good, says Swedish national team captain Thomas Brottman to SVT Sport.

This is how the premiere will be played:

Falun-Sirius, Rönnby-Jönköping, Mora-Thorengruppen, Pixbo-Malmö, Lund-Karlstad, Endre-Nacka, Warberg-Täby.

Reigning champions:

Thorengruppen (defeated Pixbo in the final by 5-4)

No new teams in the league.

Series layout:

26 rounds.

The first eight teams to the playoffs.

Teams 9-12 have finished playing.

Teams 13 and 14 are relegated to the Allsvenskan.

Three interesting signings in the league:

Amanda Delgado Johansson, to Sirius from the Thorengruppen.

Flurina Mart, to Pixbo from Piranha Chur (Switzerland)

My Kippilä, to the Thorengruppen from Kais Mora.

This is how the gold talk goes:

- I think the Thorengruppen and Pixbo will be at the top this season as well.

Both teams still have strong troops.

The Thorengruppen has lost Amanda Delgado Johansson, but has filled in with strong names.

Pxbo has not really lost anyone but strengthened with Flurina Marti from Switzerland.

As the main challenger, I see Sirius.

But Falun, Rönnby, Endre and Malmö can also be at the top, says Swedish national team captain Åsa Karlsson to SVT Sport.

Åsa Karlsson also thinks that the league maintains a high standard.

- If you look at which players have come here, they are world players.

It is the world's best league on the women's side.

It will be shitty, says Åsa Karlsson.

SHE

League start:

15-19 September.

This is how the premiere is played:

Sävehof-Skuru, Önnered-Västerås, Skara-Lugi, Skövde-H65 Höör, Kungälv-Heid, Kristianstad-Kärra.

Reigning champion:

Skuru (defeated H65 Höör in the final 3-1 in matches).

Newcomers:

Kärra HF.

Series layout:

22 rounds.

The first eight teams to the playoffs.

Teams 9-10 have finished playing.

Team 11 may qualify.

Team 12 is relegated to the Allsvenskan.

Three interesting signings in the league:

Ulrika Olsson, to VästeråsIrsta from Skuru

Angelica Wallén, to Sävehof from Odense

Elin Hallagård, to Önnered (make comeback)

This is how the gold talk goes:

- Sävehof is my favorite.

They look ruggedly strong, and have a squad that is equipped for both SHE and the Champions League.

They go in as favorites for both series victory and Swedish Championship gold.

They have a good mix of older and younger players and a complete squad, says the Swedish national team's national team captain Tomas Axnér.

Behind Sävehof, however, it is smoother.

- Behind them are H65 and Skuru, who may have lost a bit in impact against Sävehof.

But it is teams that should be able to compete.

Västerås is a team that has become stronger with some sharp signings.

Önnered and Lugi have also equipped a bit.

And Kristianstad is also there.

There is a strong midfield that has approached Skuru and H65, says Tomas Axnér to SVT Sport.

Ulrika Olsson leaves the champion team Skuru.

The handball league

League start:

10-15 September.

This is how the premiere will be played:

Kristianstad-Sävehof, Hammarby-Lugi, Skövde-Guif, Malmö-IFK Ystad, Önnered-Redbergslid, Ystad IF-Hallby, Alingsås-Aranäs.

Reigning champion:

Sävehof (defeated Skövde in the final with 3-0 in matches).

Newcomers:

Hammarby Handball.

Series layout:

26 rounds.

The first eight teams to the playoffs.

Teams 9 and 10 have finished playing.

Teams 11-13 will qualify.

Team 14 is relegated to the Allsvenskan.

Three interesting signings in the league:

Philip Stenmalm, to Ystad IF from Wisla Plock (Poland)

Jonathan Stenbäcken, to Sävehof from Skjern (Denmark)

Kjartan Johansen, to Önnered from Stavanger

This is how the gold talk goes:

- I think that Sävehof wins Swedish Championship gold here too.

They have a winning culture in the club, and have both the breadth and quality of the younger players.

They also have the financial muscle to be able to act if something happens during the season, says Tomas Axnér to SVT Sport.

But there are challengers who can disrupt the Party Club's gold hunt.

- I think the league is pretty even.

But teams like Malmö, Ystad IF, Skövde and Sävehof stand out, and we can never count Kristianstad out.

Alingsås and Lugi can also challenge at the top.

But above all Ystad IF, they must definitely be involved and compete, says Axnér.

League start:

24-27 September

This is how the premiere will be played:

Norrköping-Fryshuset, Luleå-Umeå, Köping-Södertälje, Jämtland-Nässjö, Borås-Jämtland.

Reigning champion:

Norrköping Dolphins (defeated Södertälje in the final with 4-0 in matches).

Newcomers:

No newcomers in the league.

Series layout:

32 rounds.

The first eight teams to the playoffs.

Team nine has finished playing.

Three interesting signings in the league:

Alexander Lundqvist, to Södertälje from Stjarnan (Iceland)

Andrew Smith, to Luleå from Jena (Germany)

Siyani Chambers, to Borås from BC Balkan (Bulgaria)

This is how the gold talk goes:

- The league does not start until September 24, and there may be late signings before the league starts. But Södertälje is the favorite for gold, I think. They were in the Swedish Championship final last season, and are building something really good. Anton Gaddefors has extended and the national team player Alexander Lindqvist is back and will be extremely useful, says SVT commentator Björn Becksmo.

But the reigning champions Norrköping are not seen as the first opponent.

- I am hesitant about Norrköping in advance.

They have lost Adam Ramstedt and his import players.

And that they won the gold last season hung a lot on everyone submitted to the team.

And an ingenious coach in Miikko Riipinen.

He remains and you can never count them out.

But I think Jämtland looks extremely exciting.

They fell on a little inexperienced last season.

Now they can keep the frame and will believe more in themselves.

Warning for Jämtland, says Björn Becksmo.

League start:

This is how the premiere is played:

Visby-Luleå, Högsbo-Borås, Eos Lund-Södertälje, Östersund-Uppsala, Alvik-Mark, Umeå-Norrköping, Helsingborg-Wetterbygden.

Reigning champion:

Luleå (defeated Alvik in the final with 3-2 in matches).

Newcomers: Östersund and Borås.

Series layout:

26 rounds.

The first eight teams to the playoffs.

The other six have finished playing.

Three interesting signings in the league:

Fanny Wadling, to Luleå from the USA

Abigail Asoro, to the A3 from Alvik

Taylor Brown, to Wetterbygden from the USA

This is how the gold talk goes:

- I see Luleå as pretty clear favorites for a new gold. They have Josefine Westerberg, Ellen Nyström, Felicia Ponturo and Allis Nyström. They have an extremely strong body. Luleå will be good, says Björn Becksmo.

Last year's final team Alvik can get tougher this year, Björn Becksmo thinks.

- It will be at the top, but it gets tougher and is just bubbling as I see it. Klara Lundquist has left for games in Poland. I believe more in A3 as a challenger to Luleå. They always have a high turnover of players, always recruit finished players and if they are not satisfied, they change. Umeå always aims for the final. Interesting also with Östersund, which has the league's only female coach in Alva Stark. They build home-woven and build in the long run but beat A3 in a training match recently, says Björn Becksmo.
