His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, congratulated the "Knights of the Will" in the UAE mission that participated in the Paralympic Games, which recently concluded in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, for the great achievements of the champions.

His Highness said in a tweet on his account on the social networking site "Twitter": "I congratulate my sons Abdullah Al-Ariani and Mohammed Al-Qayed Al-Hammadi for their achievement in the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, and all the athletes, and members of the UAE mission .. proud of your determination and strength of will .. I congratulate Japan on the success of the tournament, and well-organised.”

It is noteworthy that, yesterday morning, the arrival of the UAE champions was completed, with the arrival of the hero Mohammed Al-Qayed, after they achieved very great achievements in the 16th Paralympic Games, which concluded last Sunday, and witnessed a remarkable brilliance of the Knights of Will from the UAE champions.

The Games for People of Determination witnessed a large participation of about 4,400 athletes, representing 163 countries, who competed in 22 games.

The UAE won three medals, gold, silver and bronze, by the hero Abdullah Sultan Al-Ariani, who gifted the country the gold in shooting, and the hero Mohammed Al-Qayed, the silver and bronze medalist in athletics (on wheelchairs).

The UAE ranked fifth in the Arab countries, and 54th globally, which is considered a new achievement for the sport of people of determination in the country, in light of the challenges faced by the Tokyo version of the conditions of postponement for a whole year, due to the Corona pandemic.

The UAE champions won 3 medals, gold, silver and bronze in the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
