The British newspaper, "Mirror", revealed the death of French international defender Jean-Pierre Adam, 73, after a 39-year coma, due to a medical error during routine surgery.

And the newspaper said: "Jean-Pierre Adam, who represented the French national team in 22 matches during the seventies of the last century, had been in a coma since 1982, before his death was announced today at the Nîmes University Hospital."

She explained: "Adam, born in Dakar in 1948, was one of the first players from West Africa who represented the French national team between 1972 and 1976, and his colleagues called him the "Black Guard", before Adam paid his life due to the anesthesiologist's mistake during routine knee surgery. It led to him falling into a coma and then leading to his death.”

The newspaper made its report by talking about the clubs Adam played for, most notably Nice and Paris Saint-Germain in the French Premier League.
