Something promised, something due.
Evan Fournier, after having jumped on hearing Jean-Michel Blanquer tie the medals of the French sports co-teams at the Tokyo Olympics to the place given to sport in our schools, had proposed to the Minister of National Education to meet to discuss the subject.
What the latter had accepted.
Well the two men spoke to each other this Sunday, as the international basketball player indicates on Twitter.

For his part, the Minister said he was "happy" for this meeting "to move forward, continue the movement initiated and add new ideas".

Following his initial tweet, just after the Games, Evan Fournier had developed his thoughts in a column published on August 16 by the Huff Post.
He considered the place of sport at school "derisory", and called for "reforming the French system".
"It was not the tiny two hours of PE per week in my college schedule that made me want to play basketball," said the new New York Knicks player.
A few weeks later, he was therefore able to express his point of view directly.
After being heard, he will see in the coming months if he has been heard.
“We plan to continue the reflection.
Wait & see, ”he concluded.
