Magdalena Eriksson was the only Swede to start against Arsenal in Chelsea's WSL premiere.

But it was not far from the case that the team captain was sent off in the London derby.

Eriksson was warned in the 66th minute shortly after Chelsea reduced to 3-2 through Pernille Harder.

Eriksson went into a tough duel in a nod duel with Arsenal's Nikita Parris who lay in the grass for a long time.

The Arsenal player was able to continue playing after a long treatment.

Just over five minutes later, Magdalena Eriksson was involved in a new situation with Nikita Parris.

Eriksson, who then already had a yellow card, threw himself into a sliding tackle against Parris who was lying down again.

Eriksson managed without punishment despite large protests from opponents and home fans who booed Eriksson.

Parris also gave Eriksson back at the end of the match with a tackle from behind and was rewarded with a yellow card.

Successful start for Eidevall

Arsenal won the match 3-2 and thus took a heavy premiere victory against the reigning champions.

Match winner was Beth Mead who accounted for two goals.

A taste start to the season for the Swedish head coach Jonas Eidevall who left Rosengård in June for the London club.
