At the Tokyo Paralympic Games badminton event, Korea's Kim Jeong-jun (43 years old, Ulsan Jung-gu Office) won a silver medal.

Jung-Jun Kim won the silver medal in the singles final of badminton (sports class WH2) held at Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan, losing to Daiki Kajiwara (20 years old) of Japan by a set score of 2-0.

Badminton was adopted as an official Paralympic sport for the first time at the Tokyo Games.

Kim Jung-jun, who won the World Championships six times, was pushed to a 20-year-old Japanese rookie and missed the gold medal, but won a precious silver medal around his neck.

In the bronze medal match, Kyung-Hoon Kim lost 2-0 to Hong Kong's Chanho UN and finished fourth.

Singles silver medalist Jung-Jun Kim will challenge for the gold medal against China's Mai Jianpeng and Chi Zimo in the doubles final teamed up with Lee Dong-seop on the afternoon of the 5th.
