In Japan, Shingo Kunieda won nine medals in wheelchair tennis and men's singles, and Sarina Satomi won a gold medal in a class with relatively heavy disabilities in badminton and women's singles wheelchairs.

"Gold" and "Bronze" in wheelchair tennis

In wheelchair tennis, Kunieda won the gold medal for the first time in two tournaments in this event in the men's singles final.

In the women's doubles bronze medal, Yui Kamiji and Momoko Ohtani won the bronze medal.

This is the first time a Japanese player has won a medal in this event.

In badminton, "gold" and "silver" and three "copper"

In the new competition badminton of the Tokyo Paralympics, Satomi, who ranked first in the world, won the gold medal in the final of the women's singles wheelchair class with relatively heavy disabilities.

Ayako Suzuki won the silver medal and Akiko Sugino won the bronze medal in the final of the women's singles class with a disability.

Suzuki won a bronze medal in a class with disabilities in the arms and legs of women's doubles in a pair with Noriko Ito, and won two medals in one day.

In addition, Yuma Yamazaki, who is third in the world in a class with relatively light obstacles in singles wheelchairs, also won a bronze medal, and Japanese badminton players won a total of five medals in just four days.

Boccia is "silver" and "copper"

In Boccia, Keisuke Kawamoto, Kazuki Takahashi, and Keiko Tanaka, who participated in the pair, won the silver medal.

This is the first time Japan has won a medal in this event.

Captains Hidetaka Sugimura, Takayuki Hirose, Yuriko Fujii, and Takumi Nakamura won the bronze medal in the group's third-place playoff.

This is the second consecutive tournament in which Japan has won medals as a group, following the previous tournament.

Japan has won the highest number of medals per day in this tournament, nine, with a total of 43 gold, 14 silver and 19 bronze.



In descending order of the total number of medals, China has 93 gold, 57 silver and 50 bronze, totaling 200, followed by the United Kingdom with 41 gold, 38 silver and 43 bronze, totaling 122 Russian Paralympic Committee. There are a total of 117 medals, including 36 gold, 32 silver and 49 copper.
