She received crushing blows and died in front of her husband

The young Mexican boxer, Janet Zacharias Zapata, died Thursday, as a result of injuries she sustained during a fight she fought earlier this week in the Canadian city of Montreal.

And the company "Group Yvonne Mitchell", which promotes boxing, said in a statement via the "Instagram" application that the 18-year-old Zapata died while she was in the hospital on Thursday.

Zapata received several powerful punches from her Canadian competitor, Marie-Pierre Hall, during the fourth round of the bout last Saturday.

Zapata suffered a convulsion, and her husband and coach, Giovanni Martinez, rushed towards her. She received first aid from the medical staff before she was taken to the hospital.

Zapata was placed in a medically induced coma, but the doctors did not succeed in saving her life and she died of her injuries.
