The World Taekwondo Federation (WT) demonstration team reached the final of 'America's Got Talent', a popular audition program on NBC, USA.

The World Taekwondo Federation announced that the Federation Demonstration Team succeeded in advancing to the final after being selected by the judges following the top three audience votes and one team selected by real-time voting in the results of the semi-finals announced today (2nd).

The Federation Demonstration Team competed for the sixth of 11 teams in the first semi-final yesterday at the Academy Awards venue, Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.

The host, former football player Terry Cruz, introduced the Federation Demonstration Team that he is the team he gave the golden buzzer to and that they appeared here with a mission other than just winning.

Immediately after the introduction, a video of children finding vitality while practicing taekwondo at a Syrian refugee camp in Jordan was broadcast across the United States.

Then, the performance started with the narration of the demonstration team that Taekwondo is not just a martial art but a sport that delivers peace and hope.

The demonstration team overwhelmed the audience by performing undisturbed poomsae and spectacular aerial movements under the theme of not losing hope by cooperating with each other despite numerous adversity, and defeating several pine boards one after another.

The four judges once again praised it, saying, "It was the best performance of today's performance", and world-class model Heidi Klum said, "The audience and many viewers want to learn Taekwondo. The Federation Demonstration Team is a true action hero."

A total of 10 teams will advance to the final on the 15th, along with 5 teams that will advance through the second semi-final next week.

The winning team will receive a cash prize of 1 million dollars (about 1.16 billion won).

The Federation Demonstration Team appeared on 'Italy's Got Talent' in January last year and received a golden buzzer to advance to the finals, and America's Got Talent, who saw the video, repeatedly requested to appear in the audition this spring.
