At the beginning of the qualifying race, Setachi was competing for the top with Chilean and Italian players, but after that, he was separated and was overtaken by Canadian players at the end of the race, with a time of 1'0.180 and 4 out of 5 players. Hiromi Tatsumi participated in another class of men's kayak singles, finishing 6th out of 7 with a time of 47.757.



Saki Komatsu participated in the women's qualifying group of Versingle, who uses a paddle with a webbing on only one side to ride a boat with floats, and finished 5th out of 6 with a time of 1'14.310. bottom.
