The striker of the France team Kylian Mbappé, affected in the right calf, withdrew for the end of the September rally, announced the French Federation (FFF) Thursday.

The Paris SG player had felt a "pain" in a calf during France-Bosnia (1-1) Wednesday night in Strasbourg in qualifying for the World-2022.

He took exams on Thursday and was made available to his club before the Blues left for Kiev on Friday, where they face Ukraine on Saturday before hosting Finland on Tuesday in Lyon.

"He will not be replaced for the trip to Ukraine," said the FFF.

Six matches without scoring in selection

Mbappé lived several hectic days, between Paris, Clairefontaine and Strasbourg.

Long announced on the side of Real Madrid, he finally remained at PSG at the end of the transfer window on Tuesday evening.

A few hours later, he started at the Meinau stadium with the France team for the first game of the Blues since elimination at the Euro.

The 22-year-old Frenchman remains in six straight games without scoring in the selection, having already scored three goals and delivered two assists in four appearances in Ligue 1 this season.

With this package for the next two meetings, Mbappé will have missed ten international matches in two years due to injury, illness or Covid-19, out of the 26 disputed by the French world champions.
