Heavy storm in New York: Kerber has to wait because of "Ida"

Extensions of the hurricane "Ida" brought a violent storm with a tornado warning to New York and also affected the schedule at the US Open. Angelique Kerber's second-round game scheduled for Wednesday evening (local time) had to be postponed to Thursday. Heavy rain, heavy gusts and lightning brought flooded streets to the metropolis and the US Open site. After losing the third set, Tsitsipas once again took a longer toilet break.

After his return after eight minutes, he was booed by some spectators.

Tsitsipas had already disappeared into the locker room for a long time during his five-set win against the Scots Andy Murray, which caused displeasure with Murray and sparked heated debates among the professionals.

Olympic champion Alexander Zverev also criticized his colleague's behavior.
