Zamalek reveals the fact that the league shield was stolen

Egyptian media revealed that the Zamalek club was subjected to a strange incident, which is the theft of the local league shield, before it was restored again.

The newspaper “Al-Masry Al-Youm” reported that there was an incident of theft and disappearance of the league shield and its exit from the club’s headquarters without the knowledge of the committee, the day before yesterday, Monday, noting that the members of the club’s board of directors did not find the league shield in its designated place inside the Zamalek club, and the security and the executive body were summoned To find out the truth about the disappearance of the shield.

She explained that after searching for more than 7 hours, the shield was recovered and returned to its place inside the Zamalek club.

On the other hand, the Zamalek club issued an official statement, which read: “The management of the Zamalek club confirmed that the league shield is in the office of the head of the committee in charge of managing the club, Hussein Labib, after the management handed it over the ball that had kept it since the team’s crowning of the championship.”

And she added, "According to the decision of the club's executive management, the League Shield will remain in the office of the Chairman of the Committee during the coming period."
