A year ago, Joackim Norberg fell and broke his elbow joint in his healthy arm, the one he shoots with.

- I do not really want to say what happened.

But I rode a unicycle.

It was not the smartest thing I did, he says and laughs.

He could not hold a pistol for three months and as the arm gradually got better he had to adjust his position and found no normal position.

It affected the results - and the mental.

- Overall, it has disturbed a lot during the year.

But the form has been approaching lately.

It is not top-notch but very much better than 2-3 months ago.

If I do the job, I at least have the opportunity, he says.

Had gold in sight

In his inaugural competition in Tokyo, he finished in 19th place in the qualifiers and missed the final.

Tomorrow he shoots a sport pistol 25 meters, where he took his silver in Rio.

- I went into this venture with gold in mind.

I do not really have that now.

But when I reach the final, anything can happen, says Joackim Norberg.
