Real Madrid sign Frenchman Camavinga for 30 million euros

 Real Madrid, the Spanish first division football club, announced today, Tuesday, the signing of midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, on a six-year contract, from Stade Rennes, France.

Local media reported that the value of the deal for the 18-year-old French international is in the range of 30 million euros ($35.41 million).

"Real Madrid and Rennes have reached an agreement for the transfer of Eduardo Camavinga, who joins the club on a six-year contract until June 30, 2027," Real Madrid said in a statement.

Camavinga was born in a refugee camp in Angola to Congolese parents, and his family emigrated to France.

He was included in the youth ranks at Stade Rennes and participated in his first match with the first team in the French league at the age of 16 years, four months and 27 days.

In 2020, Camavinga became the youngest player to represent France since 1917, at the age of 17 years, nine months and 29 days.
