Uechi, who is aiming to win a gold medal in the women's singles of wheelchair tennis at the Tokyo Paralympics, faced the quarterfinals at Ariake Tennis Forest in Koto-ku, Tokyo on the 31st.
Uechi, who ranked 2nd in the world ranking, played against Zhu Jinjin of China in 7th place in the world, and the first set was a competition without giving up to each other, but Uechi took it 7-5.
