The Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games mistakenly made a mistake of about 5 million yen including masks and medical gowns prepared as countermeasures against the new corona virus at nine competition venues during the withdrawal work of the already closed Olympic Games. It was revealed that it had been discarded.

At each competition venue of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, masks and medical gowns are prepared as measures against the new corona, but since it was held without spectators at most venues, it was not used and it was not used by the organizing committee. The association provides transferable items to medical institutions free of charge.

However, on the 31st, the Organizing Committee revealed that masks and gowns were accidentally discarded during the withdrawal work at the nine competition venues used at the Olympic Games.

The amount of waste was 33,000 masks, 3420 medical gowns, and 380 disinfectants, totaling about 5 million yen.

The cause was that the transferee could not be found immediately and that a temporary storage place was not secured in advance after the venue was withdrawn.

As for the Paralympics, we have already secured a storage place, and the Organizing Committee says, "I am very sorry and I would like to try to prevent recurrence."
