There is a player who has stepped on both the Winter and Summer Paralympics in our squad for this tournament.

This is Doyeon Lee of Handcycling.

With the support of her three daughters, she is once again challenging her limits in Tokyo.

Do-yeon Lee, who won the silver medal in hand cycle in Rio five years ago and finished the Nordic skiing event in 7 events in Pyeongchang for the first time in Korea, started the challenge again in Tokyo.

As always, the three daughters cheered.

The eldest daughter, Yoo Seon, made a video to cheer up her mother,

[Fighting]

I went to the cheering match wearing the shirts I made myself with my younger brothers.

[Mom, be strong. we are there Do-yeon Lee at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games] Lee Do-yeon, who

participated in the solo road solo, competed fiercely with her daughter's peers.

I struggled with the uphill course and the hot and humid weather, but I squeezed my last strength and finished the 24km in 10th place.

After the game, I had a video call with my daughters and struggled to hold back tears.

[Lee Do-yeon/Cycle National Team: I really ran to death, but I can't. no. Aren't you sad? So, earn money quickly and give your mom some pocket money.]

I got strength again with the encouragement of my daughters.

[Seol Yu-seon/Lee Do-yeon's daughter: Because I think that if I had a satisfactory result, it would be no different than first place.]

[Lee Do-yeon/Cycle National Team: Okay. I'll try harder to get something tomorrow. oh, and pretty things. I love my daughter.]

There is another reason why Lee Do-yeon, who started handcycling at the age of 42 after overcoming a fall, is taking on the challenge at the age of 50.

Because the bike I run now is my father's last gift, who passed away last year.

[Lee Do-yeon/Cycle National Team: There were many times when I wanted to give up in the middle… . I ran today with the feeling of running with my dad. While running, I found my father a lot. I want to make my father laugh.]

'Iron Lady' Lee Do-yeon is another name for the challenge.

Tomorrow (the 1st) we will continue our challenge for medals in the road race and the day after day relay.
