Today, the Swedish men's national football team gathers to take on Spain and Greece in the World Cup qualifiers - and in between friendly play against Uzbekistan. Before the national team camp, the competition in Victor Nilsson Lindelöf's club, Manchester United, has intensified.

The team has bought Raphaël Varane who plays in the same position as the Swede.

And yesterday Lindelöf was sent to the bench in the league match against Wolverhampton.

If it worries the national team captain Janne Andersson?

- Both yes and no.

The problem last year was that he played so many matches and had a back that was in trouble and he was not allowed to rest, he says.

"Must not be a bench all the time"

Andersson believes that it is advantageous if the midfielder does not play as many matches as last year.

- Then, of course, it must not be the case that he sits on the bench all the time.

However, the national team captain believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, coach of the English big team, will rotate the team during the season.

- Considering the cup game, the league and everything.

So I hope that this is how it is thought, that he will rather get a more reasonable number of matches than last year.

Sweden World Cup qualifiers against Spain on Thursday, 20.45.
