Egypt loses a 13-year-old judoka. She died during training

Al-Hiwar Sports Club in the Egyptian city of Mansoura mourned the death of the 13-year-old judoka, Rana Wael, while she was training her team in the club, and before her last training, where she fell in front of her mother, and attempts to rescue her died in a private hospital near the club.



The club’s board of directors published an obituary for the player Rana Wael on his official page on the social networking site “Facebook”, saying: “We are satisfied with God’s judgment and destiny.



The club declared a state of mourning for a period of three days, suspending all sports and recreational activities in the club, starting from Sunday, August 29, 2021.



And the Egyptian “Seventh Day” website stated that “the player was in the exercise sitting, and her mother was among the parents in the playing hall, and the coach asked her to stand up to play a match. To take her to a private hospital in Mansoura.



Eyewitnesses continued that "the hospital doctors tried to rescue the player, but their attempts were unsuccessful, stressing that the cause of death was cardiac arrest."



Other sources from Dakahlia Security who followed up on the incident stated that the girl fell while she was practicing judo in the club, as a result of her swallowing her tongue, and no one was able to save her, which led to her death immediately.
