Lee Mi-gyu won the bronze medal in the women's table tennis singles (sports class 3) semifinals of the Tokyo Paralympic Games held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Japan, losing 3-1 to Alena Canova of Slovakia.



Tokyo Paralympic Table Tennis doesn't play for third or fourth place, but awards a tie for third place, so only reaching the semi-finals will secure a medal.



The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) have decided to temporarily apply a joint third place only to this tournament to compete fiercely in the quarterfinals and to enhance the immersion of the final.



Yesterday (27th), Lee Mi-gyu, who secured a medal by confirming advancing to the quarterfinals, lost in the semifinals and won the bronze medal.

Lee Mi-gyu, who met at the Mixed Zone after the first medal was confirmed, said, "It's very unfortunate. It's a pity that I couldn't adapt quickly. heart," he said.
