Cristiano Ronaldo comments in a post on Instagram that he is leaving the Italian big club Juventus, where he has already started this season in Serie A.
"Today I leave a fantastic club, the largest in Italy and clearly one of the largest in all of Europe.
I gave my soul and my heart to Juventus and I will always love Turin as long as I live ", writes the football star.
He thinks that together with the team he has performed great deeds, even though the team may not have achieved all the set goals.
"We wrote a pretty beautiful story together," he adds.
He does not write anything about the transfer to United and there is still no comment from him on that issue.
Sir Alex Ferguson is said to have played a key role on Thursday when Man United lured over Ronaldo who had been offered by his agent city rival Man City.
Two-year contract looms
On Friday, it was clear that Ronaldo is ready for a return to the Premier League club Manchester United, which he played in between 2003 and 2009, before leaving for Real Madrid.
According to British media, United will have to pay almost SEK 286 million for the 36-year-old, who is expected to sign a two-year contract with a weekly salary of just over SEK 5.7 million.
On Friday, pictures of Ronaldo were shown in Lisbon before a medical examination. According to British media, Ronaldo's first home game against Manchester United could be against Newcastle on September 11.
