Al-Ain goalkeeper, Khaled Issa, broke his silence after the decision not to call him up for the first national football team list, for the first and second rounds of the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup for the first group, stressing that it is he who bears the reason for his exclusion, not the Dutch coach, Bert Van Marvik, and that he will strive to return to the list again.

It is the first time in years that the main goalkeeper of the Al Ain team has not received an invitation to join the "Al-Abyad" camp, after his seat was guaranteed despite the names that successively coached the team, thanks to the consistent level that he continued to provide with the "leader" at the local and continental levels.

Khaled Issa said in a press statement: “Frankly, the decision not to call me up is the coach’s point of view, and I respect that and appreciate the coach. for current entitlements.

The coach, Marvik, summoned the trio, Ali Khaseef, Fahd Al-Dhanhani and Adel Al-Hosani, to meet the Lebanese national team, next Thursday, at Zabeel Stadium in the first round, and to meet Syria, scheduled for the seventh of next September, in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The Al Ain goalkeeper vowed to return again to the "Al-Abyad" list in the remaining matches of the World Cup qualifiers, and said: "I will work hard in the coming period and will work to correct mistakes."

Issa, who came out with a clean sheet, in the last round against the Emirates, expressed his wishes for his fellow players to achieve victory, and said: "I wish success to my fellow players in the team, in order to provide the level that enables them to win the matches in Lebanon and Syria."

On the other hand, Al Ain players will resume their training, this evening, at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium, after they took a three-day break, after their victory over their guest, the Emirates, in the second round of the ADNOC Professional League.

The international quartet of training, Bandar Al-Ahbabi, Ahmed Berman, Saeed Ahmed and Kayo Kanedo, will be absent from the training, along with the Togolese duo, Laba Kodjo and the Tunisian Yassin Meriah, to join the list of their teams, while the duo Khaled Al-Balushi and Muhammad Abbas joined the Olympic team list.
