Tour de France stage winner Nils Politt has won the third part of the Deutschland Tour.

On Saturday, after 193.9 kilometers from Ilmenau to Erlangen, the Cologne-based man won the single-handedly victory in front of Belgian Dylan Teuns and old star André Greipel.

With that, Politt also took over the red jersey of the overall first.

The decision on the overall victory of the Germany Tour, which was not held last year due to the corona pandemic, will be made on Sunday in Nuremberg.

This is where the fourth stage, which had previously started in Erlangen, ends after 156.3 kilometers.

In total, the professional cyclists then covered 720.5 kilometers from the start in Stralsund.
