Yoshihide Kiryu, who participated in the Tokyo Olympics, took part in the final 100-meter race of the season, marking 10 seconds and 18 seconds to win the championship, and gained momentum next season.

Kiryu, who holds a record of 9.98 seconds, which is the third place in Japan's history in the men's 100 meters, missed the participation in the individual event at the Tokyo Olympics, but served three runs in the men's 400 meters relay.

Kiryu "Feeling of restarting"

Yoshihide Kiryu said in a fulfilling manner, "There were various things this season, but I'm glad I was able to win the last race and finish it."

In today's 100-meter race since the Japan Championships two months ago when I missed the Olympic representative, I changed the way I swing my arms under the theme of "powerful running" and reduced the number of steps from the start to 10 meters. It means that he made a new attempt to do so.

Kiryu recalled, "I tried it, but I still couldn't run as I expected. I want to make it an issue for the off-season."

On top of that, he said about the future, "Although it will be a break in this season, my competitive life will continue, so I will do my best from next season onward with the feeling of restarting."
