It does not often happen that amateurs win competitions on the ladies' European Tour.

During the tour's 43-year history, it has only happened eleven times.

But now there is a possibility that it will happen for the twelfth time.

The Swedish 21-year-old Ingrid Lindblad leads the European Tour competition Skaftö Open in Lysekil before Sunday's final round.

- You never know if you will win or not, but if I put some putts and play well, it is possible, she says in a TV interview on Sportkanalen.

“Pretty simple golf |

Lindblad made six birdies and only one bogie today, and is one stroke ahead of the second, Magdalena Simmermacher from Argentina.

- Yes, met many fairways and many greens, it was quite simple golf, Lindblad says.

Lindblad successful

Behind Simmermach, several Swedes are shadowing.

Linn Grant and Beatrice Wallin share third place with Nicole Broch Estrup from Denmark, and one stroke behind them are Pernilla Lindberg and Linda Wessberg.

Ingrid Lindblad has in recent years been one of the world's most successful amateurs, and has twice won the team EC twice.

Last month she won the ladies' amateur European Championships, which meant that she had to play in the British Open last week, where she did not make the "cut".
