Sky Sport Italia reported earlier on Friday that Ronaldo arrived at Juventus' training facility to say goodbye to his teammates.

According to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, a transfer to Manchester City may be completed in the next 24 hours.

A move to City would not be entirely uncontroversial.

Ronaldo played for local rivals Manchester United for six seasons before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009.

He joined Juventus 2018 but the great successes have failed.

The club has failed in the Champions League and last season they were only four in Serie A, a full 13 points behind the winner Inter.

Ronaldo has one year left on his contract with Juventus and it has been reported that the club wants around 300 million Swedish kronor for him.

The European transfer window closes on Tuesday.
