The Swedish Athletics Championships are decided at Ryavallen in Borås, a historic arena that has hosted athletics competitions for more than half a century.

Ståhl and Åskag can break records

As you know, Swedish athletics is in a very positive period, which makes SVT's expert believe in new Swedish records.

- Every time Daniel Ståhl enters the ring, there is that opportunity, Fanny Roos as well.

Super junior Maja Åskag has a tough schedule at the Swedish Championships with long jump and triple jump, but if she has strength left after an incomparable season with double gold at JEM and JVM, then a Swedish record in triple jump can be possible, says Alhaji jeng.

Wallmark and Hellström in a duel

Long jump and triple jump are expected to be highlights on the men's side as well.

- Thobias Montler has looked good all season, but unfortunately he did not have the margins on his side in the Olympics.

It was fine, and the trampling gave indications that he is in the shape of his life.

Which duel are you looking forward to extra much?

- Jesper Hellström against JVM gold medalist Gabriel Wallmark.

The duo have equal season best and personal best, respectively, so I hope for a fight that can bring out the best in them, says Jeng.

"The ecosystem looks good"

SVT's expert has a very positive gut feeling before the Swedish Championships, and highlights the high standard that permeates Swedish athletics right now.

- I am convinced that we will see some world results, now that the stars have reloaded after the Olympics.

Swedish athletics is doing very well, not only in the Olympic context where we had a fantastic top but also top width.

The whole ecosystem looks good, on the youth side, junior level and senior level.

It fills up from below and many exciting active people will participate in the Swedish Championships, Aljahi Jeng concludes.
