36-year-old Caroline Seger is team captain in Blågult and will continue to be so.

She will be present when Peter Gerhardsson takes out his World Cup qualifying squad on 7 September.

- It is as I said before, that as long as I am involved and perform and I am motivated and play football, especially in Rosengård, I am part of the national team.

Nothing has changed since the Olympics.

It will be fun to play qualifiers again, says Seger.

Gerhardsson was present when Rosengård defeated Vittsjö 4-0 on Thursday night.

- I think Caroline Seger looks fantastic in this and in the position she also has in the national team.

It can be seen in a match like this that it is a quality player, he says.

Caroline Seger has made 221 international appearances for the national team, which is a European record.

Sweden's next championship is the European Championships in England next summer.
